Set up a Native Bee Station and get started raising hole-nesting bees!

Includes nesting reeds that are attractive to mason, leafcutter, and wild bees.


Instructions

  1. Install the bee house near a variety of flower sources and in a natural environment free of pesticides and lawn care chemicals.
  2. Mount the Native Bee Station at eye-level, about 5ft (1.5m) on a secure surface that faces the morning sun. Ensure that the opening of the natural reeds faces the front and tuck the reeds into the bee house as far as possible.
  3. Add the larger 8mm size natural reeds to raise mason bees in the spring.
  4. Add the smaller 6mm size natural reeds to raise leafcutter bees in the summer.
  5. Add both the smaller and larger natural reeds to provide nesting habitat for wild bees.
